From the Vault: Dragons Magic The Gathering Cards
From the Vault: Dragons (FtV:D) is a limited edition Magic: The
Gathering boxed set to commemorate the game's fifteenth anniversary.
The set includes 15 limited edition dragon cards, six of which were
given new art. The cards are all foil, but a new method of "foiling"
the cards that has never been implemented before is being used. FtV:D
was released in English only and costs $34.99 (MSRP).
The 15 cards in the set are Bladewing the Risen, Bogardan Hellkite,
Draco, Dragon Whelp, Dragonstorm, Ebon Dragon, Form of the Dragon,
Hellkite Overlord, Kokusho, the Evening Star, Nicol Bolas, Niv-Mizzet,
the Firemind, Rith, the Awakener, Shivan Dragon, Thunder Dragon, and
Two-Headed Dragon.
This is not a normal expansion set, so the cards are only
tournament-legal in the expansion sets they were more recently printed
in, with the exception of Hellkite Overlord. Hellkite Overlord was
printed in the Shards of Alara expansion set which was released October
3, 2008.
The box set also contains a red and black 20-sided spin-down die with the FtV:D expansion symbol in place of the 20.
