i recently started playing magic again after over a year away from the game. i was wondering what cards i could add to this deck to help speed up its slow ass mana production. suggestions or comments can be sent to: detenshi_zero

this deck is one of the most well known combo decks known to magic. the master player and creater mike long, who was last offically seen on pro tour paris and the 1998 us national championchip. the deck is based around drawing cards and useing the cadavorous bloom to make a massive amount of black mana for a drain life.

Drain Life For 20 That Simple

Yeah it plays really fast.. most of the time once you get a squandered resource and a cadaverous bloom in play you can whip through your deck within a turn and blast for a good 45 point drain life.... it works really well.... if playing against blue make sure you get out your city of solitued it helps.. alot.... and no side board for this one... do your own work damnit

Main thing to remember is get the squandered resources into play & then a stasis. This isn't completely inflexable though because it is possible to do it with a howling mine or two, stasis especially if you have sceptor in play. The sideboard will help against the weenie hoard & direct damage. Weenies hate the dream tides, black can be chump blocked
