Pure soldier muscle. I used to have some cards in it that prevented all combat damage non-soldiers would deal in a turn, but they seemed to detract from the main soldier-boosters. It's not perfect, of course, but it has proven to be quite formidable.
Pestilence Engine

this deck needs more wumpuses, spirit link, secluded steppe, tainteed field. with these i could get rid of some drifting meadows a couple soul link, and caltrops is more of a sideboard card.

you can not lose when facing a 1 color deck, unless its a speed deck. get cho-manno's blessing, inviolability and pariah and its game over, unless they have a disenchant or something. anyway, you could just beat them down with serra avatar, if you can get it out in time
