you have options here...attack with the herald. if they block it odds are it will die, get voice or heedless. if the don't cast wirewood pride make elf big.

have the symbiote, hivemaster, and elder in play. tap the elder to put the herald into play, use the symbiote to return the herald and untap the elder. put an insect token into play. and repeat

have a creature in play, play the herald, it dies, use an infinite mana combo with this to bring out all your elves

someone wrath of god your elves, just use wirewood herald and call out and summon caller of the claw during the end of their turn. then during your attack phase, kick their candy ass with the bears
