Combos Utilizing Volrath-sq-s-Shapeshifter

Put Volrath's Shapeshifter in play, pay 2 and discard Phyrexian Dreadnought: You've got a 12/12 summon with trample without sacrificing any creature!

hey can't u just eliminate mongrel. play volrath's shapeshifter. next turn tap 2 mana to discard kraken&attack . after blockers are declared pay 2 again to discard phage. you win&elimnate a color too.

bring some good cards into your graveyard, like phage, but you wont use, because phage didnt just come into play because shapeshifter has been in play for a while

Once the shapeshifter is in play, discard reya. Use the shapeshifter/reya to bring back the real reya. Use the survival/turbine engine to keep going through your library and discarding creatures.

Put out Volrath's Shapeshifter, then use it's ability to discard Avatar of Woe, then you have an easy Avatar of Woe out

Draco's too expensive to cast, so discard it with the Shapeshifter, which is now a 16 mana artifact creature. Make it blue again with Fylamarid and sac it to the Spawning Bed.

Search library for 3 creatures. After opponent selects which two creatures go to your graveyard, put the best on top of your graveyard. The Shapeshifter becomes a copy of that card.

discard w/ survival to have directly in play

play the shifter and the mongrel. next turn attack. before blockers are declared, discard kraken to mongrel. after blockers, discard phage. you win!!

You get a 9/8 flying, trample without the 2 turn sacrifice.
