you don't get the mana from cathodion untill it goes to the graveyard and then it is to late to regenerate it.

Sacrifice the Cathodion to gain 1 life and 3 mana then regenerate it with the toolbox for 2 and sac it for 1 again rinse repeat and for more fun add rancor to the avatar to give it trample then laugh hysterically

play: jhoira's toolbox 1st; hanna 2nd; and karn 3rd. then have regrowth in your hand, just in case hanna dies. and use karn's ability to make your artifacts-artifact creatures. then regenerate them.
