Combos Utilizing Counterspell

you first play isochron scepter and imprint a counterspell, then you play a arcane laboratory and counter the one and only spell he can play

sacrifice scrivener for a scrivener, returning any instant card to your hand from graveyard. counterspell, swords to plowshares, lightning bolt... you get the idea.

if a card like wrath of god comes out into play do rethink then if he or she decides to pay the mana cost again then counterspell it or foil and thus tapping his mana and countering the card.

use counterspell, then use opposition to tap your opponent's creatures or lands

play pandemonium, and next turn play sabroling burst, sabroling burst has fading 7, so you just remove all the fading counters, and bang, 21 damage, counterspell is a protecter.

you counter anything that tries to kill ali and necra sanctuary kills them
